Hey! Some new Feedmarker stuff!

Wow, I just hate Grey’s Anatomy. Nevertheless, here I am. Or should I say; here we are…

Anyway, some changes on Feedmarker:

The main page now shows only the most popular tags on the right side (that list was getting a mite bit unwieldly, yes?). You’ll still see all your tags when you’re browsing your sources.

Feed filters: this one’s still a little dicey, but I want to give it a try. There’s now a ‘filter’ field available when you’re adding or editing a feed. Any keywords you add there will become filters on all new items in the feed. Right now all keywords are included by default. So if you filter a feed on the keywords ‘google search’ you’ll only get items that include both those keywords.

Search: also still in development. Go to www.feedmarker.com/search to try it out (warning: results are pretty inconsistent at this point).

So, there you go. Three ignobly announced little developments. As always, please let me know if you find bugs.

Hey, almost forgot, there’s also a new expand/collapse all toggle button at the top of the page.

I love the Feed Filters feature. I’ve been wanting something like that. I come across a lot of multi-topic blogs that have one interesting topic, and a bunch of stuff I don’t care about. This feature should cure that problem.

Great! I’m glad to hear it. Right now the filter is pretty crude (you can’t do boolean queries or anything like that). I’m planning on beefing it up in the future so you’ll be able to filter on this OR that keyword, this NOT that keyword, etc.
